User Terms 

Thanks for choosing Newcomers Canada. Before you startplease review and agree to our user terms. These terms form part of our overall terms and conditions for using the NewcomersCanada.ca website. These terms are very important, so please make sure you read them and don’t use our website unless you agree to them. By proceeding to use our website you will be deemed to have accepted them. Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. may also modify this agreement at any time, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting the modified agreement on the website. These terms were last updated 5 May 2016. 

1. Who we are

Newcomers Canada is owned by Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. hereafter referred to as Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc.

2. Scope of this agreement

Access to our website are governed by our terms and conditions. This page states our terms of sale (“Terms”) and they are between SGMC and you (“You”). You must read them carefully.

For the purposes of this agreement the words “NewcomersCanada.ca”, “Newcomers Canada”, “Network”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”, “Expo”, “Exhibitions”, “Exhibition”, “Event” andn“Events”, refers to Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. “Website” or “Website(s)” refers to material delivered through NewcomersCanada.ca.

Updated or Amended Terms  

Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. reserves the right to change, modify, add or remove portions of these terms at any time and make changes to the products, services, content, rates and packages described on the website at any time and without notice or liability. Please check periodically for changes, we will always post the date our terms have been updated on. Your continued use and/or access to this website following changes to this policy and/or conditions will mean that you accept those changes. 

If you reside in Canada  

If you reside in Canada and are using Newcomers Canada, the laws governing this agreement will be the laws in the Commonwealth of Canada, specifically the Provincial Laws of British Columbia and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its Courts.  

Eligibility 

To be eligible to use our website and attend our events, you must not be a competitor of Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc, or operating a similar competing business or service in international recruitment, relocation and/or settlement. You will only setup and maintain one Online Account, and use accurate details including your contact details and have genuine reasons for using the website. You will obviously agree to our full terms and conditions and you must be at least 16 years of age or older. 

Indemnification 

You agree to indemnify Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. and hold us harmless for all damages and losses including reasonable costs, including but not limited to reasonable legal fees and costs related to all third party claims, charges and investigations, caused by your failure to adhere to these terms and conditions and/or any files or content you upload onto your online account or activity you engage in while using our website. 

3. Copyright and proprietary rights information

Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. retains all rights including but not limited to, copyrights, patents, trade secrets and any other intellectual property rights in all versions of our website. Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. reserves the right to make changes to the information, design and services provided on our website without notice and without liability. Every effort will be made to advise you of changes in advance. Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. reserves the right to add, amend or vary the terms of this agreement by publishing notice of such changes on our website(s) and the continued use of the service will signify your acceptance of the changes. Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. will not be liable for the use or misuse of our website. Such information may be forwarded or made accessible to clients of Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. only with your consent. Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. will not be liable for the use or misuse of this information by clients. Registered users of our websites should note that data collected at application stage maybe retained for statistical purposes. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details. 

5. Online account

Certain online services including our job board and events will require you to open an online account. You must complete the registration process by providing us with current, complete and accurate information as prompted by the applicable registration form. To be eligible to use an Online Account, you must not be a competitor of Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc, or operating a similar and/or competing business and/or service in international recruitment, relocation and/or settlement. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. Furthermore, you are entirely responsible for any and all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. will not be liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of someone else using your password or account, either with or without your knowledge. However, you could be held liable for losses incurred by Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. or another third party due to someone else using your account or password. You may not use anyone else's account at any time, without the permission of the account holder. 

Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. reserves the right to delete your Online Account and all related information after a significant period of inactivity. 

5. Online profile

In addition to registering for an Online Account, you will also have the option to create an Online Profile. Online Profiles are for the purposes of immigration and not employment, as such, you maybe asked for details relating to your nationality, residency, age, gender, martial status, medical examination history, skills assessment, criminal records and/or English language proficiency. You do not need to provide these details to open an Online Account but if you wish to create an Online Profile, you agree to voluntarily provide Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. with these details and you agree that Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. may process such information, within the terms of our Privacy Policy

An Online Profile is designed to help you pre-assess your suitability from an immigration perspective and does not guarantee eligibility for a work permit in any country. You may choose to provide a prospective employer and/or other user of Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. with a copy of your Online Profile. In this instance, you maybe providing information that is not required for a job application but the content contained in your Online Profile may include personally sensitive information that may or may not lead to you being discriminated against on the grounds of your nationality, residency, age, gender, martial status, medical examination history, skills assessment, criminal records or English language proficiency. 

If you do not wish to share personally sensitive information with a prospective employer and/or other user of Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc, you should not forward your Online Profile to any third party and/or allow third party access to your account. Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc will not be liable for any loss, financial or otherwise, of an employment opportunity as a result of sharing your Online Profile with an employer and/or other user of Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc. 

We do not guarantee that an Online Profile will always be free. 

Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc reserves the right to delete your Online Profile and all related information after a significant period of inactivity.

6. Events

Registering to attend a Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc Event will automatically create a Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc Account. A Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc Account will automatically be setup for you using the details supplied by you using our online ticketing system, currently supplied by EventBrite.com. Alternatively, a Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc Account will automatically be setup on your behalf if you use our Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc registration portal upon entry to a Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc Event. A Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc Account that is setup for the purposes of attending a Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc Event, otherwise known as an EVENT REGISTRATION forms part of our Event Database and overall Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc Database. Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc works with a carefully selected group of partners and sponsors, otherwise known as EVENT SPONSORS & PARTNERS. As part of your registration for a Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc Event, you agree that Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc may share your personally identifying information with our EVENT SPONSORS & PARTNERS. If you have registered for a Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc Event and do not wish to be contacted by our carefully selected EVENT SPONSORS & PARTNERS, please email Newcomers Canada Job Fairs Inc at contact@newcomerscanada.ca stating Remove from EVENT DATABASE
